A non-profit organization of volunteers, working closely with the Recreation and Community Services Department, to naturalize the city-owned Malcolmson Eco-Park.

Focus of the activities includes the planting of the open area with tall grass prairie plants and replacing exotic tree species with native and Carolinian species. The organization requires volunteers to plant trees and wildflowers, weed flower beds, mulch trees and shrubs and pot seedlings in the greenhouse.

The Bruce Trail Conservancy is a charitable organization committed to establishing a conservation corridor containing a public footpath along the Niagara Escarpment in order to protect its natural ecosystems and to promote environmentally responsible public access to this UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve. The Niagara Club is one of 9 clubs that maintains 83km (from Queenston to Grimsby) of the more than 890+km trail to Tobermory.

Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority - Ball's Falls Conservation Area

A historical park featuring 20 Mile Creek Cataracts, scenic gorge and the Bruce Trail. Hosts the Annual Thanksgiving Festival in October and has hiking trails, displays, and the Bert Miller Arboretum. Guided historical tours for groups are available by reservation only.

The Centre for Conservation opened its doors in 2008. This facility houses state-of-the-art technologies along with more traditional systems, like the rainwater cisterns, utilized at the site's heritage buildings. In November 2008 the Centre for Conservation was officially certified as a LEED Gold Building by the Canada Green Building Council.

The Wedding Chapel, the Big Barn and the Centre for Conservation may be rented seasonally. Call for details. The Pavilion can be rented weekends and week days. Also offers summer day camps for children and youth.

A conservation area and family campground along the Welland River operated by Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority. The area features Dils Lake, a manmade reservoir for paddling, angling and swimming. Other activities include hiking, nature appreciation, volleyball, children's playground and two accessible fishing piers. A picnic pavilion is available for rent. Area events include the Annual Bass Derby in July, Float Flyers Weekends and Stargazers Evenings and Ontario Family Fishing Weekend are scheduled during the summer.

A scenic conservation area operated by Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority. This area has a spring-fed pond, stocked with Rainbow Trout. Fishing begins the last Saturday in April and continues until September 30th annually. Nature trails through the Carolinian forest are ideal hiking and birdwatching. St. Johns pond also features wheelchair accessible fishing piers, wheelchair accessible trails and informational display kiosks.
