Rose Cottage Visiting Volunteers - Home Hospice Support Services

A registered charity that provides home hospice support services to those facing life-limiting and progressive conditions in the West Niagara region. All volunteers complete the Hospice Palliative Care Ontario (HPCO) education program and a vulnerable sector police check.
All programs are offered free of charge and include:
Visiting Volunteer Program - 1:1 support and companionship for clients and caregivers in their home, hospital or long-term care
Caregiver Program - Support for caregivers
Tele-visit Program - Volunteers offer regular phone support to clients and caregivers
A Hand Along the Way Bereavement Program - Grief support with other who understand (Grimsby, Beamsville, Vineland, Smithville, and virtually)
Care Package Delivery Program - Monthly care packages containing soap, bread, and essential items are delivered by volunteers to clients to reduce social isolation and potential food insecurity. Volunteers carry out a wellness check during the visit and connect the client to additional community resources as needed
Legacy Program - Legacy volunteers help clients create their life stories, resulting in a book that they can share with family and friends
