Welland, ON

Group exercise and falls prevention classes for older adults and people with mobility issues. Aims to improve strength, flexibility and balance to prevent injury and falls. Falls Prevention classes (Keeping Balance) are lead by an Occupational Therapist and Lo-impact aerobic classes (Stay Fit) are led by Certified Fitness Instructor/Recreation Therapist. Times are subject to change in the summer.

VON Canada - S.M.A.R.T Exercise Program


Niagara, ON

Group-based program to reduce the incidence of falls and falls related injuries. This program includes 1-3 sessions per week, running 45-60 min each. Included in each session is an active exercise component to increase strength and improve balance. Modifications to exercises are presented by the instructor for an inclusive and safe workout for all participants. Various locations in Fonthill, Fort Erie, Grimsby, Niagara Falls, Pelham, Port Colborne, Smithville, St Catharines, Vineland and Welland.
